Our Story

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a network of people ready and willing to provide a helping hand and the resources needed to make someone’s tough time a little easier to navigate? Imagine someone you love calling a shelter to find a place to sleep for the night only to realize that when they arrive, they are turned away because the bed they were promised is gone, along with all hopes of a safe, warm space to rest for the night. This happened to a man I was helping in 2018 and the experience made a lasting impression on my heart. While I went home to my family and my bed that night, this man was left with nothing. That experience made me realize that there is a critical need for infrastructure throughout the community to more effectively help people not fall through the cracks and receive the care they deserve. Proximity Gap Network was born out of a desire to bridge the gap between those who want to help and those who need it.

PGN

is a non-profit, Christian-based organization dedicated to bridging the gap in community care services by partnering with organizations and churches to bring essential resources closer to those in need.

Founded in 2020 by Earl Williams, Jr., PGN’s services are dual focused in the areas of resource navigation and resource challenges.

Believing in serving the one, the organization offers relief, rehabilitation, and development to help propel clients to a life of self-sufficiency.

PGN understands that each clients’ situation is unique and therefore approaches must be tailored to fit the needs of the individual. In addition, PGN’s services focus on the whole person, offering aid in the areas of financial, social, physical and spiritual well-being.
